There are so many things I love about living at Hacienda Vargas. Wide open spaces to chase bunnies, plenty of friendly people to give me pats and car rides; there are so many places to take car rides to.
A few weeks ago, my humans, Rex and I loaded up our car and set out for an adventure! It’s only 42 minutes to the Casa Grande Trading Post. We drove along the Turquoise Trail. The weather was perfect for driving with all the windows down. Rex and I took full advantage.
Upon arrival at Casa Grande Trading Post, we explored the shops full of arts and antiques. There’s lots of treasures just waiting to be found!
We couldn’t head home without a trip to the Cerrillos Petting Zoo. Rex and I made some new friends including a llama.
Our last stop was at the San Jose Church. The present day structure was built in 1922 to replace the first church, which was situated on land now occupied by the Pastor’s residence.
Make sure to set aside an afternoon to explore the historic Turquoise Trail during your stay at Hacienda Vargas. I’d be happy to be your tour guide!
