This upcoming Memorial Day weekend brings you two fantastic opportunities for sampling the amazing wines produced in and around the Albuquerque area. Join regional wine-lovers at Balloon Fiesta Park this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, for three days of amazing food,wine, and music at the Albuquerque Wine Festival. Find your perfect New Mexico wine as you sample from 24 of the wineries around the state, enjoy a glass or two on site, and buy bottles to take home and enjoy later. It’s the perfect opportunity for wine-lovers, whether novice or experienced, to discover the complex tastes of New Mexico wine. Tickets for this wonderful event can be purchased ahead of time, and includes a souvenir wine glass.
You’ll have another chance to celebrate the rich history of New Mexico wines at the Southern New Mexico Wine Festival, held this Memorial Day at the New Mexico Fairgrounds in Las Cruces. At this event, you’ll not only be able to samples wines, shop vendors from all over the southwest, eat great food, and listen to live music, but you’ll also be able to attend sessions at the University of Wine to learn more about food and wine pairing. Tickets can be purchased in advance, and it is strongly encouraged to do so, as this is a very popular event. These two great wine festivals are the perfect place to gain an appreciation for New Mexico Wines, and can serve as a wonderful starting point for those interested in traveling along one of the New Mexico Wine Trails.
